Child Safety Standards

1. Our position

Accounts involved in such material or conduct are terminated, the content is removed, and the matter is reported to the appropriate authorities.

2. Beeshi is for adults

Beeshi is intended solely for people aged 18 and over. Our Terms of Use require it, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to hold an account. Where we learn that an account belongs to a child, we close it and delete the associated personal data.

Two things about how the product works reduce the risk considerably. Beeshi does not match strangers — you cannot browse, search for or be recommended other people. And invitations only work for phone numbers a group administrator has already listed, so nobody can join a circle uninvited or by forwarding a link.

There is no public feed, no open discovery, and no way for an adult to encounter an unknown minor through the product.

3. How to report

In the app. Every photograph, snap and challenge entry can be reported from the item itself, with a reason. Reports go directly to our moderation queue. You can also block another member, which stops all direct contact between you.

By email. Write to childsafety@beeshi.in. This address is monitored by our designated point of contact for child safety matters, who is able to speak to our CSAE prevention practices and compliance.

You do not need a Beeshi account to report to us by email, and you do not need to be a member of the group where the content appears.

4. What we do when something is reported

• Reports of this kind are treated as the highest priority and are moved to the front of the moderation queue.
• Content is removed within 24 hours of a valid report, as required under the Information Technology Rules, 2021.
• The account is suspended immediately pending review, and terminated where the report is substantiated.
• Images are screened automatically before they are shown to a group. Automated screening is imperfect, so anything it flags is reviewed by a person.
• We preserve the relevant records for the authorities rather than deleting them outright, so that an investigation is not obstructed.

5. Reporting to authorities

India makes reporting mandatory, not optional. Section 19 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 requires any person who knows of such material to report it, and failing to report is itself an offence. Publishing or transmitting such material is an offence under Section 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Where we identify or receive a substantiated report of child sexual abuse material, we report it to the relevant Indian authorities, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and, where appropriate, the local police, and we cooperate fully with any resulting investigation.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact the police on 112, or the childline helpline on 1098, before or alongside reporting to us. We cannot respond as quickly as they can.
